Standard Edition:
The Standard Edition of HDClone is conceived for regular and professional use. Besides support for USB 2.0 and IDE-CompactFlash, it also offers a verifying mode for data reconciliation with the target medium and high copying performance.

HDClone Standard Edition supports besides IDE/ATA and SATA/eSATA hard disks and USB Mass Storage devices (hard disk, stick, card reader) via USB 1.1 also the far more swift USB 2.0 standard and copies up to 1,2 GB/min.

For this purpose, it offers technicians, professional and private users highest possible speed and flexibility through its 'FastCopy' mode and the 'Sector area' option which allows you to define an arbitrary copying area on the medium.

HDClone Professional Edition supports besides IDE/ATA and SATA/eSATA hard disks and USB Mass Storage devices (hard disk, stick, card reader) via USB 1.1 and 2.0 also SCSI hard disks* and Firewire (IEEE1394) mass storage (SBP2) devices, e.g. an external hard disk or a card reader. Peazip 4.4 Portable by Evan

PeaZip is an open source file and archive manager. It's freeware and free of charge for any use.

PeaZip can extract most of archive formats both from Windows and Unix worlds, ranging from mainstream 7Z, RAR, TAR and ZIP to experimental ones like PAQ/LPAQ family, currently the most powerful compressor available.

For archive creation, PeaZip suppors a wide range of compression and encryption standard, from fastes to most powerful ones, and allows to export job definition as scripts to bridge the gap between GUI and console applications, and let the user pick the best of the two worlds.

PeaZip has secure deletion feature, can verify file checksum and hash, and supports multiple strong encryption standards, optionally using two factor authentication (password and keyfile) for increased security:
7Z's AES256 encryption
ZIP WinZip's AE encryption based on AES256 (and ZipCrypto for legacy compatibility); can decrypt PKZip's AES encryption
FreeARC's ARC: AES256, Blowfish, Twofish256 and Serpent256 - this format is also capable to generate recovery records to protect data against corruption
PEA: AES256 EAX authenticated encryption

* Fixed untranslated text in Password form

* Improved -peazipreset switch for selective removal of configuration and of customizations (Applications, Bookmarks, and Password manager)
* It is now possible to use only keyfiles for encryption (alongside only password, or both), consistently with Password manager encryption
* Password manager shows up to date dropdown menu in Password form each time it is updated

# EXTRACTION and ARCHIVING

Process Lasso 5.1.0.44 Portable by Evan

By managing the programs running on your computer, Process Lasso increases system responsiveness and helps to prevents system stalls. It accomplishes this through our ProBalance technology. This proprietary algorithm dynamically adjusts the priorities of running programs so that some are given higher priority access to the CPU(s) than others.

With Process Lasso, no longer will single, or multiple, processes be able to bring your system to a virtual stall. Process Lasso will let you keep interacting with your computer, even when it is totally swamped.

In addition to the ProBalance technology, users can tweak how their programs are run. Process Lasso offers a number of unique and helpful capabilities. These include default priority classes, default CPU affinities, disallowed processes, keep running processes, per-process power schemes, a process watchdog, and process instance count limits.

These features give you the ability to control how programs utilize your computer's resources based on automatic settings. With Process Lasso, you can decide exactly how you want your processes to run.

Process Lasso uses virtually no system resources itself, being written in highly optimized native x32 and x64 C++. The core engine can run stand-alone and consume as little as 1-3MB of RAM.

This is a special edition especially tailored for servers and it will enable administrators to easily monitor and manage the running processes from a simple and easy to use interface.

Here are some key features of "Process Lasso Server":

ProBalance:
· Balance process priorities in a safe, effective manner to improve PC responsiveness during high loads

Process Watchdog:
· Terminate, restart, or change CPU affinity when a specified threshold is met

Enforce Maximum Instances of Applications:
· Limit processes to a specified number of instances per user, or per machine - allowing easy license compliance and enforcement

I/O Priorities:
· For Vista and above you can set the current or default/persistent I/O priority of processes

Auto-terminate, Sticky priorities, Sticky affinities, etc:
· Set default priorities and CPU affinities, disallow processes from running, and log events on your system

Multi-Core Optimization:
· Through default CPU affinities and ProBalance affinity adjustments, you can optimize your multi-core processor to make the most efficient use of your CPUs (cores). It also offers logical core avoidance to improve performance of certain applications on HyperThreaded CPUs.

No System Registry Values Changed:
· Process Lasso makes NO registry or system setting changes. It does have advanced tools that will enable YOU to make changes if you choose, but we generally do not recommend it (and say so in warnings). Note Process Lasso does store some of its own data in the registry, and we are speaking only of system registry values.

Independent Core Engine:
· Can run stand-alone as a service or normal process

Minimal Resource Use:
· Written in native C++ and continually refined for maximum efficiency (native 64-bit build also available)

Windows 7 and Windows 2008 Ready:
· Compatible with Windows 7, but maintains full backwards compatibility

Reduces Total Cost of Ownership:
· Less unresponsive servers and more control equals less downtime and less maintenance of your server

No scripting:
· Why write highly inefficient and cumbersome scripts when you can have native code efficiently applying the rules you want?

Multi-user friendly:
· Designed from the ground up for use in multi-user environments!

Select Multiple Processes at Once:
· Want to terminate 5 different processes at once? Or set their current or sticky priority class or CPU affinity? No problem. Select multiple processes and work with them.

What's new:
· Fix.GUI: [#102] Fixed a theoretical memory leak in event history tracking that could occur on high activity systems after a long duration
· Fix.GUI: [#104] Fixed rare anomaly in the handling of multiple events coming through the inter-process pipe during the same time frame
· Change.GUI: Language updates
· Change.Licensing: Adjusted some unspecified licensing code

LibreOffice 3.4.5 Eng Portable (paf)

If LibreOffice appears at all familiar, it should come as no surprise that the suite has roots in OpenOffice. In fact it is a community lead branch of the same office suite that has been developed by The Document Foundation. You may well wonder why there is a need for different branches of the same office suite - the main reason is that it enables broader changes and additions to be made to the suite

As things stand at the moment, LibreOffice Productivity Suite is not very different to OpenOffice. The main focus of the early releases of the suite are tidying up and optimising existing code before switching to adding new features and options.

Existing users of OpenOffice will feel immediately at home, as all of the familiar components of the suite can be found here in LibreOffice. The suite comprises a word processor, spreadsheet, drawing tool, database and numerous other components. Files can be saved in the suite's own native format, or in formats that are compatible with the likes of Microsoft Office.

As an Office suite is almost essential for most computer users, coupled with the fact that commercial suites tend to be somewhat expensive, there is nothing to be lost in trying out a free alternative. LibreOffice, just like its stable mate OpenOffice, is a very competent tool which could easily cater for your home office or business needs.

LibreOffice 3.4 offers several new features for Calc, with faster performances and an improved compatibility with Excel spreadsheets, and Pivot Table – the new name of DataPilot – with support for unlimited numbers of fields and named range as data source. The user interface of Writer, Impress and Draw has been improved with many new features, and several cosmetic changes have been applied to the Linux version, with a better text rendering engine and an improved GTK+ theme integration. Code wise, several thousand lines of German comments have been translated into English, and over 5.000 lines of dead code have been removed from Writer, Calc and Impress.

This is the sixth release of the LibreOffice 3.4 code line.
LibreOffice 3.4.5 fixes the most-important bugs identified by users in the previous version, and of course can be deployed for production needs.

Calibre 0.8.36 Portable

Calibre provides all the elements you need to organize and manage an e-book collection. With a simple set of tools and a helpful layout, this program is a nice choice for any electronic reading lover.

The program's interface is a snap to understand because of its professionally designed layout and easy-to-use command icons. Calibre lets you open a variety of e-book types and read them. You download your e-books from your desktop or hard drive directly into Calibre. The entire process is so simple that we never felt the need to consult the Help file. You can easily sort your titles by alphabetical order, cover image, or tags. We especially like being able to customize tags and covers, which is handy if the book doesn't come with any. While all these functions worked well, the program didn't feel like an essential utility until we tried out its special features, which elevate Calibre from a mere reader into an e-book manager. The conversion feature converts any e-book's file type with a few clicks, which we like because some handheld readers only accept specific file types. The uploading feature lets you send your e-books directly to one of those handheld readers or other portable device with equal ease. Calibre covered every base, from downloading and cataloging our electronic book collection to putting the words in the palm of our hand.

The program has been made more lightweight, for instance, by stripping out little-used components like the accessibility features, and the parental controls. The crash report has also been stripped out, as it's designed to work with server-side technology that isn't available on palemoon.org. And Pale Moon also drops support for Internet Explorer's ActiveX and ActiveX scripting technology, which also offers a security benefit as it means the browser can't be infected by malicious ActiveX controls.

Other optimisations are more technical. In particular, Firefox is compiled with the most conservative of settings, to ensure that it'll run on even ancient CPUs. Pale Moon, though, is optimised to take full advantage of modern processors, and this can give it a huge advantage over Firefox in some areas.

So how much faster can the browser be? That's a tricky question, as performance varies greatly depending on what's being tested.

The CPU optimisations give the browser a significant lead in logic and math operations, for instance. And Pale Moon's developer reports that DOM operations should be significantly faster this time around, and so it proved, with the browser beating Firefox in every single DOM-related test at Dromaeo (Pale Moon had for instance a 33% performance advantage on DOM Queries, and a 37% lead on DOM Attributes).

Other tests give Pale Moon no performance advantage, but still, because some elements are much faster the browser retains a measurable lead, with Dromaeo reporting Pale Moon 9.0 is overall around 9% faster than Firefox 9.0.

And there are other tweaks, too. Pale Moon's developer reports that issues with native OpenGL rendering were "causing poor performance on a number of systems", and so Pale Moon's WebGL 3D will now use DirectX if possible instead, further improving speeds.

The browser does have one potential down side, in that it may be incompatible with some extensions. If they've assumed that the browser's program name is firefox.exe, say, or they're using components that Pale Moon has stripped out, like the Parental Controls, then you'll probably find they don't work.

This is rare, though - more extensions install and run just fine. Trying out Pale Moon also gets you access to useful extras, like the Language Packs (you can now run the program in more than 70 languages), a portable edition, and a 64-bit version. And as you can install and run both Pale Moon and Firefox together on the same system, the program is really easy to evaluate. So if any of this sounds right for you, then give Pale Moon a try, and see how much faster it might be on your system.
